How We Work
The professional relationship that is formed with our clients is a highly personal one, especially in residential design. We ask many questions, beyond color and style, regarding lifestyle, family relations, their individual preferences, and more. As a result, a warm friendship is often formed and cherished for years to come.
Our intention is to provide our clients with superior professional and personal service, customized to their needs. Depending on their desired level of involvement and budget considerations, clients can engage our services in the following ways.
Design Consultation This choice allows for a larger degree of client involvement and is perfect for those who desire our guidance and support while they, in turn, actively manage the process by researching materials, making purchases, scheduling deliveries and supervising workers. Our input may include space planning ideas, and suggestions for resources, materials, color and textiles. In essence, the client becomes entirely responsible for the project's management and outcome, with us standing-by on the sidelines as needed. Consultations have a 4 hour minimum; we are typically hired in 10-hour increments.
This choice is ideal for the budget-conscious or the do-it-yourselfer who wants to avoid making costly mistakes.
Project Management This format is full-service design and project management from the initial phase through completion. We facilitate the entire scope of work, including drawings and design layout, recommendations for sub-contractors, obtaining estimates and creating a project budget, presenting materials for approval, making all purchases, scheduling, supervision of all labor, and all other necessary facets to ensure the successful completion of the project.
As the remodel process can sometimes be overwhelming, hiring Sublime Design as project managers is the perfect choice for those clients who live busy lives and whose level of involvement is primarily saying "Yes. No. Maybe" to our recommendations. In the end, they receive a perfectly finished product: their dream home, with candles lit and wine waiting to be uncorked!
